The 2017-18 schedule for the domestic World Series of Poker Circuit has been released, and it will feature three new venues and a record 26 stops overall, the WSOP announced in a Wednesday press release.

The popular U.S.-based Circuit, which won the American Poker Award for Mid-Major Circuit of the Year in 2016, will feature much of the same format and features that players expect for 2017-18. The "12 rings in 12 days" schedule format will remain the norm, as players strive to win gold rings in at least 12 numbered events at each stop, with the biggest and most prestigious of those being a $1,675 Main Event.

Additionally, players will accumulate points throughout the season and at specific stops, with the goal of qualifying for the $1 million guaranteed WSOP Global Casino Championship. The venue for the Global Casino Championship has not yet been announced, but Main Event winners and Casino Champions will again automatically qualify for the gold bracelet event along with at-large points qualifiers.

Once again, players who win rings during the season and players who finish in the top 100 of the WSOP Player of the Year standings can buy in rake-free for $10,000. The WSOP will be posting $1 million towards the pool.

Qualifiers will also come from the International Circuit, with dates and venues yet to be announced.

“We are very proud of what the WSOP Circuit has become and how it has performed for our partner casinos who have come aboard,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. “Players know they get a consistent structure and schedule at each stop, plus the opportunity to win big prizes as well as their seat into the million-dollar freeroll with a WSOP gold bracelet up for grabs.”

What's changed for 2017-18?

First, Palm Beach Kennel Club will no longer serve as the Florida venue for the Circuit. Instead, the WSOP appears to have struck a partnership with the Seminole Tribe and will visit Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek.

Thunder Valley Casino in Northern California, which has played host to World Poker Tour and WPTDeepStacks events in recent years, will now host the Circuit as well with two stops planned.

There's also no listed stop at The Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles at this time, although Kevin Mathers pointed out on Twitter that there are two "to be announced" stops scheduled at the same time the Circuit was at the Bike in the previous season. The casino ran into a spot of trouble with a federal investigation in April.

Other than that, all of the familiar stops from the 2016-17 season have returned, including new additions Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee and Hard Rock Tulsa. Here's a look at the full schedule:
