partypoker is replacing its current loyalty scheme with a new, simpler program May 22, one that rewards partypoker players with between 20 and 40 percent of their rakeback every week as a cash payment.

Under the current four-tiered loyalty scheme, partypoker players earn two points for every $1 they contribute in cash game rake and tournament fees. These points can then be exchanged for poker tournament tickets, up to $500 cash and casino bonuses via the Loyalty Store built into the partypoker software.

When the new loyalty scheme launches on May 22, it will no longer be possible to purchase items with points. Instead, partypoker players will earn one point per $1 contributed in cash game rake or tournament fees. Once they have earned 25 points in a week, partypoker starts to award cash back at a rate of 20 percent.

After opting into the scheme each week via the "Rewards" section of the partypoker client, players will find that the more points they earn during the week, the higher the cash back percentage awarded on Monday.

40 percent cash back is awarded for every 200 points once 2,000 points have been earned in a week

The cash back table on the partypoker Blog states there is also an invite-only Palladium VIP level, but there are no other details regarding what this is or how a player is invited into it.

Partypoker Ambassador Patrick Leonard gave advice about and helped create the new loyalty scheme.

"This is a huge improvement for partypoker which I have been championing for a long time," he said. "I made sure that all the feedback I received from the poker playing community was passed on to partypoker to ensure we were given a simple and fair reward system that gives players exactly what we are looking for.”

Tom Waters, managing director of partypoker, reiterated that, saying that this new rewards program is straightforward because partypoker wants to offer regular cash back to players.

"I recognized that the existing loyalty store was complicated and confusing for some players and so we decided to replace the store with a simple and rewarding rakeback scheme that will deliver cashback into players accounts every week," Waters said. "The new scheme was designed in consultation with a large group of players and I hope that we have delivered a rakeback program that will suitably reward our loyal players."

Players have until May 22 to spend their existing points balance before the old system becomes obsolete. Partypoker is running a sale on some items in its loyalty store, with many tournament tickets being reduced by 10 percent.
