The 2017 PokerStars Championship Sochi is just around the corner at the Sochi Casino and Resort on May 20-31.

The festival features 43 events highlighted by the PokerStars Championship Sochi Main Event where players will compete for an at least RUB 150 million (approx. $2.6 million) prize pool for a RUB 318,000 (approx. $5,590) buy-in.

The Main Event kicks off with two opening days on May 25-26. Players start the action with 30,000 chips and blinds increasing every 75 minutes. Players bagging chips will continue to play on May 27-31 until a winner is crowned.

Starting on Day 3, blinds will increase every 90 minutes with the potential of this time limit being reduced if the action runs very long on the final day.

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be providing live coverage of the Main Event along with the No Limit Hold’em Single Day on May 26 with a RUB 1.53 million (approx. $26,880) buy-in and the PokerStars Championship High Roller on May 29-31 with a RUB 618,000 (approx. $10,860) buy-in.

The Super High Roller, which features a huge RUB 3 million (approx. $52,700) buy-in, will be covered by the PokerStars Blog. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will provide feature content and interviews throughout the event.
