Siebert Early Leader at partypoker MILLION North America Main Event
The Playground Poker Club in Montreal is playing host to the biggest live poker event in Canada in several years. The partypoker MILLION North America Main Event kicked off Friday with CA$5,000,000 guaranteed in the prizepool and a top prize of CA$1,000,000 guaranteed to the winner.
A total of 372 entries put up the CA$5,300/$4,000 entry to participate in the first flight of the historic event on Friday. After six one-hour levels, the field was trimmed down to 137 players, all of whom will return for Day 2 on Sunday.
Sylvain Siebert was the official chip leader to end Day 1a after bagging 7,744,000. Sitting in second is Nipun Java (7,387,000), followed by Julian Milliard-Feral (7,252,000), Dilovan Hussein (7,200,000), and Vojtech Ruzicka (7,124,000) to round out the top five. Several other well-known pros bagged top 10 stacks.
