‘meks2410’ Becomes Second PokerStars Millionaire
“meks2410” hit a full house in the $1 million Spin & Go tournament at PokerStars to take the win after spending only $10 in the PokerStars Makes Millionaires promotion.
This is the second such win from the promotion; “Check^On123” won a $100 Spin & Go, netting him $1 million and a shock response that was easily analyzed by PokerStars.
With this promotion, PokerStars plans to create 10 millionaires between April and June.
“Spin & Go remains one of our most popular games,” PokerStars stated in a press release. “Sitting down at a $10 game and walking away with $1 million a short while later shows why this format remains so popular. We look forward to creating even more winning moments for our players.”
meks2410 bested “yreg” and “gambarinasai” to take the prize in six minutes; however, both runners-up walked away with $100,000.
With the Sunday Million 11th Anniversary, PokerStars Championship presented by Monte Carlo Casino and the Millionaire Grand Final, PokerStars has paved the way for multiple millionaires.
The latest effort in that regard is on May 21 with the Spring Championship of Online Poker’s SCOOP-55-H $10,300 Main Event at 2 p.m. ET and the SCOOP-01-H $1,050 NLHE Phase 2 at 12:30 p.m. ET.
Three millionaires were created in 2016 and 16 players have been crowned millionaires since the first $1 million Spin & Go launch in January 2015.
