The final weekend of the 888poker XL Inferno Series started on Saturday.

There were 13 tournaments on the schedule, with the XL Inferno #170 - $40,000 Octopus as one of the highlights of the day. The biggest winner on Saturday was crowned in this event with the first prize of $19,227.

XL Inferno #170 - $40,000 Octopus

At 17:00 GMT, the XL Inferno #170 - $40,000 Octopus started with 289 players. More than 200 rebuys were used to create a total prize pool of $98,600. Every player at the final table would receive at least $2,465.

On the final table bubble, "AlreadyHigh" finished in ninth place for $1,972. After that, "Yournemeis" (eight, $2,465), "Ksomahnisous" (seventh, $2,958), "Juanfran1973" (sixth, $3,944) and "demonized1" (fifth, $5,423) were all busted out pretty quickly.

"popsnpoker" was the last player with a four-figure score, receiving $7,888 for his fourth place. "IamKenji1967" finished in third for $10,846, which left "soleej88" and "SoulRead88uk" playing for the title.

The United Kingdom's "SoulRead88uk" won the final heads-up, receiving the first prize of $19,227. Runner-up "soleej88" had to settle for a prize of $14,927.

XL Inferno #168 - $10,000 Lightning 6-Max

The first winner of the day was crowned in the XL Inferno #168 - $10,000 Lightning 6-Max. It was United Kingdom's "HinduKrush" who won the tournament and received the first prize of $4,305.

XL Inferno #169 - $15,000 Breeze

The other regular tournament on the schedule, the XL Inferno #169 - $15,000 Breeze, saw "Roma4892" from Ireland snagging the title and first prize of $3,511.

XL Inferno #171 - $15,000 Deepstack Swordfish

XL Inferno #172 - $20,000 Crocodile

The XL Inferno #172 - $20,000 Crocodile attracted a field of 203 players, creating a prize pool of $30,450. The top earner in this tournament was Poland's "dulek_jason" who defeated "IQHAHA" heads-up to claim $6,546.

XL Inferno #173 - $25,000 Saturday R&A

The XL Inferno #173 - $25,000 Saturday R&A generated a prize pool of $33,250 and it was Romania's "PokerMogo" who was crowned as the winner for $6,799.

XL Inferno #174 - $15,000 Swordfish

XL Inferno #175 - $20,000 Monsoon

XL Inferno #176 - $60,000 6-Max

One of the biggest winners on the 14th day of the series came from the XL Inferno #176 - $60,000 6-Max. In this tournament, 413 players competed for a prize pool of $61,950 with the first prize of $12,699. The most money went to United Kingdom's "Gandalf_MRS" who defeated "Sacksinho10" in the deciding heads-up.

XL Inferno #178 - $30,000 Saturday Challenge

XL Inferno #179 - $15,000 Tornado

Late on Day 14, Ukraine's "YSoSerious7" was crowned as the winner of the XL Inferno #179 - $15,000 Tornado. He received the first prize of $3,975 after beating "giorz" heads-up.
