When partypoker and Dusk Till Dawn created the Grand Prix Poker Tour, it initially stayed within the United Kingdom but now the pair is taking the Grand Prix on a global tour with the next stop being in the Austrian capital of Vienna.

There has already been grand prix events in Canada, Killarney, and Cork and now partypoker and DTD are setting sail for Vienna. The Grand Prix Austria Main Event takes place at the Montesino in Vienna, costs €225 to enter yet despite the affordable buy in the tournament boasts of a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Online Day 1s have been running at partypoker every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. CET since Feb. 5 and will continue to do so until April 2. After April 2, there will be a Grand Prix Austria Online Day 1 every night until April 8. Players in the Online Day 1s sit down with 30,000 tournament chips and play 18 levels of 12 minutes each. Anyone with chips in front of them at the end of the 18th level progresses to Day 2, which is held at the Montesino, Vienna.

Players who prefer to play live poker can also play Live Day 1s not only at the Montesino but also in other Austrian venues in Salzburg, Simmering, Bregenz, Innsbruck, Linz and Kufstein.

Day 2 of the €500,000 Grand Prix Austria kicks off at 3:30 p.m. CET on April 9, with the final day, and the champion crowned on April 10. On that day, the cards will be in the air at 2 p.m.

Players are permitted to compete in more than one Day 1 but if they progress more than once, only their largest stack is taken through with them.

Qualify For Grand Prix Austria For $0.01

In addition to the plentiful online and live Day 1s, partypoker is running satellite tournaments throughout the day and week that give you the chance to qualify for the €500,000 guaranteed Grand Prix Austria from as little as a single cent.

From 11:45 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. CET, there are satellites costing only $0.01 that award tickets to the next tier of satellites, eventually feeding into the $44 buy in satellites where tickets to the Grand Prix Austria Main Event are distributed as prizes.
