PokerStars Celebrates Sunday Million Anniversary in Style

Online poker’s biggest weekly tournament, the PokerStars Sunday Million, is celebrating its 11th anniversary and PokerStars is helping to get the party started by boosting the Sunday Million’s guarantee to $10 million and running a host of promotions.

The Sunday Million usually boasts of a $1.5 million guarantee, but at 2 p.m. ET on April 2, PokerStars is guaranteeing that at least $10 million will be won with $1 million of that sum reserved for the eventual champion. Players can buy in directly for $215 or attempt to win their way into this humongous event via satellites starting from as little as $1.

Reentry is possible for three hours (until 5 p.m. ET) and three reentries are permitted while late registration is open.

Win One of 200 Sunday Million Seats For Free

On March 18 and March 25, PokerStars gave away a combined 400 seats to the Sunday Million, each worth $215. On April 1, PokerStars players have the opportunity to win one of another 200 seats.

The final Sunday Million 11th Anniversary Hyper-Turbo Freeroll: $47,000 Added runs at 1:47 p.m. on April 1 and awards the winner $1,000 cash and a $215 Sunday Million Anniversary seat. Those finishing in second through 200th place are given a $215 Sunday Million Anniversary seat.

Entry to this special freeroll is by ticket only and the number of entrants is capped at 100,000. In order to obtain a ticket to the freeroll, players must make a deposit before 2 p.m. ET on April 1 using the bonus code “SUNDAYFREE3.” Completing this will also award a mystery bonus prize ranging from a $10,000 All-in Shootout ticket to a whopping $10,000 in cash.

Several dozen satellites are running between now and the start of the $10 million guaranteed Sunday Million plus there are On-Demand satellites that cost $27 to enter and start as soon as they are full. Those players who love the jackpot sit & go format can try to win their way into the special edition Sunday Million via dedicated Spin & Go qualifiers costing only $5 to enter.

€50,000 of PokerStars Championship Presented by Monte Carlo Tickets Giveaway

As if playing for a share of a guaranteed $10 million wasn’t enough incentive to get involved in the April 2 edition of the Sunday Million, PokerStars is giving away more than €50,000 worth of PokerStars Championship Presented by Monte Carlo tickets during the tournament.

At precisely 2:30 p.m. ET on April 2, PokerStars is randomly dropping tickets on 11 tables for the €530 Monte Carlo Mega Satellite, which kicks off at 2:35 p.m. ET and guarantees 50 packages worth €8,500 each.

The PokerStars Championship Presented by Monte Carlo has some exciting events scheduled, including a €1 million guaranteed National Championship costing €1,100 to enter, the €5,300 Main Event, and high roller events costing €10,300, €25,750, €50,000 and €100,000 to buy into.
