Regardless of whether a player enters an Online Day 1 or a Live Day 1, they start with 30,000 chips and play for 18 levels; levels last 12 minutes online and 30 minutes live. Once 18 levels are completed, anyone with chips in front of them progresses to Day 2, which is held at the Montesino in Vienna.
Each Day 1 features a single re-entry, available until the end of Level 6 and players can enter as many Day 1s as they wish. Should a player make it through more than once to Day 2, only their largest stack is put into play.
