Sunday Briefing: Double Win For Marc Wright

Many online poker tournament players never experience the joy of winning an event, but the United Kingdom’s Marc “railthe23price” Wright won two in a single night at partypoker.

Wright took down the $40,000 Gtd Drago for an $8,949.05 score then followed that win up by triumphing in the $50,000 Gtd Weigh-In for $11,910.58.

The biggest score at partypoker this Sunday was the $50,376.90 that “BBCgiants” won by taking down the inaugural $300,000 Gtd Title Fight, a 425 buy in tournament that missed the guarantee by more than $40,000. Oliver “ThreeBunPass” Price continued his hot streak in the $2,600 Super High Roller by emerging victorious for a $46,312.50 addition to his bankroll.

This week’s $200,000 Gtd High Roller saw “uzbekpro” top a field of 404 to bank $39,390, while Niklas “Lena900” Astedt and Aleks “hitaremchok” Dimitrov chopped the $150,000 Main Event for scores of $22,176.21 and $20,607.99, respectively.

Over at PokerStars, Brazil's “arkolino” won the Sunday Million for a massive $142,200.99 after a heads-up chop with “Nec Arg” who collected $115,041.33.

It was Fabrizio “sevensense” Gonzalez who took the $45,000 Turbo Mega Deep for $9,243.40 with Canada’s “popsnpoker” winning the $60,000 Sunday Crocodile for a $12,711 score. Lastly, a shout out to Rocco “sephir0t” Palumbo who won $15,825.75 by triumphing in the $80,000 Sunday Challenge.
