The inaugural Devilfish Cup kicks off at Dusk Till Dawn on Oct. 31, and in addition to the £1 million in cash, the guaranteed prize pool has a special prize thrown in.

Brian May, the world-famous musician and co-founder of the rock band Queen, has donated a personally signed BMG Special Guitar, which is to be awarded to the eventual winner of the Devilfish Cup. According to the World Poker Tour blog, the guitar is inspired by May’s legendary Red Special and is a special edition of his own brand, Brian May Guitar.

The Devilfish Cup is a £1 million guaranteed tournament taking place during the partypoker WPT UK Festival. Costing £5,000 plus a £300 donation to charity to enter, the tournament honors and remembers the late David “Devilfish” Ulliott who died in April 2015 after a battle with cancer.

Dusk Till Dawn will donate at least £60,000 to cancer charity Marie Curie Foundation.

“One of my lasting memories of Devilfish was the many nights we had singing while he played guitar, so I know how special this Brian May signed guitar will be as a prize for the winner of the Devilfish Cup," said Simon Trumper, a close friend of Ulliott and tournament director at Dusk Till Dawn. "As a trophy, the guitar really is as unique as Devilfish was.”

Following the completion of the Devilfish Cup is the WPT Players’ Party where Midlands’ rock band The Shakes will perform at Dusk Till Dawn, playing classic tunes until the early hours, just as Ulliott would have wanted.

By the time the Devilfish Cup champion is crowned, the £1 million guaranteed WPT500 UK will also have a winner. Day 1s, costing £550 to enter, ran online at partypoker and live at Dusk Till Dawn on Oct. 29, with a turbo-structured Day 1 taking place on Oct. 30 at midday. The final day’s play is scheduled for Oct. 31 at 2:00 p.m.

Completing the WPT UK festival is another £1 million guaranteed event, the partypoker WPT UK Main Event. Costing £2,200 to enter, the tournament needs 500 entrants to reach the guarantee. Last year, the same event attracted 450 entrants, who were outlasted by Iaron Lightbourne who banked £200,000 for his £2,200 investment.
