The Winner’s Circle
[Removed:17] won the PokerStars EPT Malta €25,750 High Roller for €465,800 last Sunday against Ramin Hajiyev. Yan won the tournament in a heads-up battle, calling to end the tournament on a failed bluff from Hajiyev.
Ka Him Li won the 888live Poker Festival London Main Event for £45,300 after beating Shah Raza heads up, with an ace to ride out the board to triumph and a trophy.
David Peters was online poker's biggest winner this weekend after taking down the Sunday Million. This and more in the Sunday Briefing.
Jakub "Olorionek" Michalak won the EPT Malta Single-Day High Roller for €178,133, his second largest live score to date. His opponent Rocco Palumbo managed to turn a ton of outs, but didn’t hit anything on the river, and that would be enough for Michalak to take the win.
2003 WSOP Main Event champion, Chris “MoneyNJ800” Moneymaker, chopped the NJCOOP-23 to collect $15,493 in second place. Jesse “ROU$EY” Elliot was the biggest winner of the weekend, shipping the event for $17,818 in a heads-up deal with the champ.
Brian Yip won the 2016 Boyaa Poker Tour Main Event for 560,000 HKD. Steven Siu won the Turbo Deep Stack and The Mainland China Team won the Worldwide Squad Tournament.
Dylan Linde won the WSOPC Horseshoe Hammond Main Event for $348,269 over a field of 1,308 players.
The World Poker Tour teamed up with celebrity hosts Mel Gibson, Vince Vaughn, Andrew Garfield and Gene Simmons to raise money and awareness for Mending Kids, a charity that raises money to help provide surgical care for children in need around the world. The event raised enough money to help more than 100 children.
