WSOP Day 37: Shack-Harris Denied and the Mizrachi Brothers Dominate The PLO High Roller
It was another busy one on Day 37 of the 2016 World Series of Poker with six events on the schedule.
While the four-day $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event played down to a final six, the new Tag Team event got down to nine. Plus, brothers Michael Mizrachi and Robert Mizrachi dominated the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, the venerable Brandon Shack-Harris was denied a second 2016 WSOP bracelet win this week, finishing runner up in the $1,500 Stud 8, and two new events kicked off.

Shack-Harris Denied the Double
A business owner from Kissimmee, Florida denied Brandon Shack-Harris his second WSOP bracelet of the summer and this week, beating him heads up to capture the 2016 WSOP Event #60: $1500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better title on Thursday.
David Prociak won his first WSOP bracelet and $156,546 in first-place prize money prize money, coming out on top of a final table that also included WSOP bracelet winners John Monnette and Calvin Anderson.
Shack-Harris had the lead four-handed, but Prociak battled back, taking what would ultimately be an insurmountable lead into heads-up play. A Rookie at the WSOP, Prociak somehow managed to find success right out of the gate.
“I just started playing poker last October," he said. "I’ve been doing very well in tournaments lately, so I decided to come to the series. I was thinking about this earlier today, that there are so many great players out there who haven’t won a gold bracelet and here I was in a position to win a bracelet. And now I’ve won a bracelet. It’s just amazing to me.”

Du Dominates the $5K
After three days of play, the 2016 WSOP Event #59: $5000 No-Limit Hold'em is down to it's final six players and China's Yue Du has more chips than the other five remaining players combined.
In fact, Du will come into the event's scheduled fourth day on Friday with 11,730,000 of the 21,780,000 chips in play.
The event played down from 47 to six on Thursday with 888poker Ambassador Dominik Nitsche building the only stack anywhere near Du's, ending the day with 3.66 million.
WSOP veteran Ismael Bojang and 2015 WSOP Event #20: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em runner-up Natasha Barbour are still in it.
Play will resume at 12 p.m. local time with plans to play down to a champion. Each of the six remaining players are guaranteed at least $132,030 with a WSOP bracelet and an $800,586 first prize awaiting the winner.

Tag Team Title Up For Grabs
After two days of play, just nine teams remain in the 2016 WSOP Event #61: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em event, with the team of online legends Ryan Fee and Doug Polk leading the field.
A total of 130 teams was whittled down to the final table of nine on Day 2 Thursday, with a first-place prize of $153,358 and at least two WSOP gold bracelets hanging in the balance.
Polk has said he plans to play $111,111 High Roller for One Drop event on Friday, leaving Fee responsible for the end game. Fee and Polk have a big lead, but the teams of Moshin Charania and Marvin Rettenmaier, and John Gale and TJ Shulman are among those within striking distance.

Mizrachi Brothers Run The PLO High Roller
Registration closed just before the start of play on the second day of the 2016 WSOP Event #62: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha Friday. The final tally showed 184 entries creating a $4,370,000 prize pool with plans to pay the top 28 spots. A min-cash was worth $37,602 while a WSOP bracelet and massive $1,127,035 first-place prize sits up top.
After making fourth in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship on Wednesday night, Michael Mizrachi late registered before the start of the day and ran it up quickly, grabbing the chip lead.
By the time they played down to the 29-player money bubble, his brother Robert Mizrachi was right behind him in the counts.
European Poker Tour favorite Ludovic Geilich sent the bubble boy packing and took the lead into the late levels. By the time the day was all said and done, 20 players remained with Geilich in the lead and the Mizrachi brothers closely in tow.
Play will resume at 2 p.m. local time on Friday with plans to play down to a final table and beyond.
The Latest $1K Draws 2,452
The 2016 WSOP Event #63: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em drew 2,452 entries on Thursday, creating a $2,206,800 prize pool with plans to pay 368 spots. A min-cash is worth $1,501, while a top prize of $339,254 and a WSOP bracelet awaits the winner.
After ten levels of play, they moved into the money and down to 269 remaining. Fredrick Goff grabbed the overnight lead with notable pro Daniel Weinman hot on his heels.
Other well known pros building contending stacks included Joshua Field, Matt Jarvis, Tony Dunst and two-time WSOP bracelet winner Mark Radoja.
Play will resume Friday at 12 p.m. local time with plans to play ten more levels.
The $3,000 PLO 8 Draws 473
The 2016 WSOP Event #64: $3000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Split 8 or Better drew 473 entries on Thursday, creating a $1,291,290 prize pool that will pay 71 spots. A min-cash is worth $4,579 while a top prize of $294,960 and WSOP bracelet awaits the winner.
After ten levels of play, Jon Turner, Kyle Bowker, Leif Force and 2005 WSOP Main Event champ Joe Hachem sat among the leaders with 155 players remaining.
Play will resume at 2 p.m. on Friday with the money bubble in sight.
