Live Poker in May: The Best Low Buy-In Events in Europe

World Poker Tour National: May 8-15, Iberia
The WPTN will be heading to Portugal and Spain from May 8-15 for a handful of local events along with a centralized €750 Main Event with opening days at three casinos including Solverde Casino Espinho, Gran Casino Madrid, and Casino Barcelona thanks to a partnership with the Multi-Venue Series.
The WPTN Iberia Main Event features a huge €333,333 guaranteed prize pool and kicks off at all locations with two opening days on May 12-13 followed by Day 2 on May 14 and Day 3 on May 15. Players will have plenty of chances to head to Gran Casino Madrid on May 22-23 where the tournament will be played out to its completion thanks to the deep-stacked structure which includes 30,000 opening chips and 40 minute blind levels.
During the festival, each casino will also host many lower buy-in events that do not involve travel before playing out to completion.

World Poker Tour: May 6-14, Amsterdam
The WPT is well-known for its big buy-in tournaments. While this is true when the WPT heads to Amsterdam from May 6-14, there are also plenty of events on the schedule suitable for players with a more limited bankroll as well.
The WPT Amsterdam taking place at the Holland Casino Amsterdam with the schedule including a couple of €330 buy-in events including the WPT Mix PLO/THNL on May 9 and the WPT Turbo on May 14. Both higher and lower limit players also have their eyes on the three-day €550 WPT 500 Day taking place from May 12-14.
The highlight of the poker series, however, is the €3,300 WPT Main Event taking place from May 10-14 which awarded over €1 million in prizes during last year's tournament. Lower limit players can join in on the action for a fraction of the cost thanks to the many satellites taking place with buy-ins as low as €220.

Eureka Poker Tour: May 16-22, Bucharest
The second stop of this season's Eureka Poker Tour is heading to Bucharest, the majestic capital of Romania, for a week of exciting action from May 16-22.
The poker festival takes place at the Intercontinental Hotel, featuring many lower limit tournaments including satellites starting at just €60 into the €1,100 Eureka Poker Tour Bucharest Main Event. Additionally, the world's largest real-money online poker room PokerStars is hosting satellites around the clock where players can either win a ticket to the Main Event or a Main Event package valued at €2,100 which includes hotel accommodations and €280 in spending money.
The Main Event takes place from May 18-22 with three opening flights on the first two days with Day 1C being held in a turbo-format. Surviving players from the first two opening flights will then battle it out on May 20-22 until a winner is declared.
Additionally, lower limit players should find plenty of value in the €330 Bucharest Cup with two opening days on May 20-21 before action is played until a winner is declared on May 22.

World Poker Tour National UK: May 19-23, Nottingham
The WPTN UK is hosting a huge poker festival at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, England. The highlight of the series of course is the $1,100 partypoker WPT National UK Main Event from May 19-23 with a larger than life £1 million guaranteed prize pool.
What's unique about this event is that the first of three opening days takes place online at partypoker on May 19 with plenty of qualifier being hosted on the site to get into the event for pennies on the dollar. The other two opening days take place at the casino on May 20-21 before players converge on May 22-23 to until completion.
Lower buy-in players will also be able to enjoy a handful of £330 buy-in events at the casino with players holding bigger bankrolls getting ready to rumble in the £2,200 WPT High Roller on May 20-21.

Unibet Open: May 23-29, Malta
Many recreational players will feel we have saved the best for last as anyone that has attended the Unibet Open not only knows that this poker festival is known for great deep-stacked action but also many fun activities planned by the Unibet staff including welcome drinks and a party.
After a successful stint in London, the Unibet Open is heading to the brand-new Olympic Casino in Malta from May 23-29 with many lower limit events including the €1,100 Main Event.
The Main Event features two opening days on May 26-27 followed by Day 2 and Day three on May 28-29. The tournament featuring four-levels of late registration per opening day, 30,000 opening chips, and 60 minute blind levels giving players plenty of chances to play their way to victory.
Players can qualify for a package on Unibet Poker where not only they can win a ticket to the Main Event, but also be awarded luxury hotel accommodations at the nearby five-star Intercontinental Hotel.
Additionally, players will be able to enjoy many other events including a two-day tournament on May 27-28 where for just €250 the poker festival is guaranteeing at least €25,000 in prizes.
