Unibet UK Tour Heads to Nottingham Starting April 15
The second leg of the Unibet Poker UK Tour is right around the corner, April 15 to be exact, and takes place at the Alea Casino in Nottingham where at least £40,000 will be won from its £220 Main Event.
The inaugural event of the new tour took place in Brighton in February where 245 entries created a £49,000 prize pool. It was Curtis Lambert who won the Brighton leg, returning home with £11,000 and a €2,000 Unibet Open package, a package that is awarded to every Unibet Poker UK Tour Main Event winner, and to the online qualifier who lasts the longest.
Two start days are available in the Nottingham Main Event, Day 1a on Friday, April 15 at 5 p.m. local time, with Day 1b kicking off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 16. Day 2, the final day of action, commences at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 17.
A field even larger than the Brighton leg could be on the cards in Nottingham thanks to many more online qualifiers winning seats, as David Pomroy, Unibet Poker's Marketing Manager, explains:
"The first leg at Rendezvous Casino Brighton surpassed our expectations, both in terms of the prize pool generated and the atmosphere within the room," said Pomroy. "This time we've almost doubled the number of qualifiers pre-event, with some online qualifiers flying in from as far afield as Canada! Unibet and Caesars Entertainment UK staff will be in the cardroom throughout the event and are always keen to speak to players to discuss any feedback they might have on the events. The tour is still very much in its infancy and we'd like to shape future legs based on player feedback wherever we can."
