The Main Event features a buy-in of 10,000 Moroccan Dirhams, which converts to approximately $1,000 or €900. There will be two starting flights, Day 1a on March 17 and Day 1b on March 18, and the entire event will run until a winner is crowned on Sunday, March 20.

Each player entering the Marrakech Poker Open Main Event with begin with 30,000 in tournament chips and be allowed reentry until Level 9 on the structure. Levels will last 45 minutes.

According to HendonMob.com, the last Marrakech Poker Open was held in 2014. That year, the Main Event of the series attracted 435 entries and generated a prize pool over $450,000. Frenchman Olivier Paris emerged victorious for $92,173.
