$300,000 Super High Roller Bowl Sold Out; Negreanu, Hellmuth Among Confirmed
After a very successful debut in 2015, the Super High Roller Bowl will be returning to the ARIA Resort and Casino this summer, and interest has apparently been keen from players because all 49 seats have been sold, according to a press release.
"The speed at which this exciting event sold out is evidence of the popularity of the Super High Roller Bowl and of poker itself," said Clint Stinchcomb, CEO of Poker Central, which will be streaming and broadcasting the event. "With some of the most exciting and famous players already locked in, the Super High Roller Bowl will be riveting to watch."
The list of 47 confirmed players — two have yet to be announced — is star-studded indeed, as one would expect from a $300,000 freezeout. Among the players confirmed for the event are last year's champ Brian Rast, $1 Million One Drop winners Dan Colman and Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu, and all-time bracelet leader Phil Hellmuth.

Players were allowed to make $30,000 deposits to reserve seats starting Jan. 22, and there was evidently an overflow of interest.
"I've never seen a high-stakes tournament sell out three months in advance," ARIA Director of Poker Operations Sean McCormack said. "It's unprecedented. We have a significant waiting list, too."
Part of the draw of the tournament undoubtedly stems from a juiced-up prize pool. Each player will contribute $300,000 in rake-free prize money, and sponsors have added an additional $300,000. Furthermore, event officials stated that 14 seats would be reserved for "non-professional super high rollers" and a glance over the roster shows they've definitely delivered a diverse roster that isn't strictly populated by the world's elite pros.
The Super High Roller Bowl will commence May 29, 2016, shortly before the start of the World Series of Poker, and take place over four days. Check out SuperHighRoller.com for more information.
