It is almost time for the latest edition of the 888poker Super XL Series, a 38-event spectacular that runs from Jan. 24-31, 2016, with combined guarantees in excess of $2,000,000.

This is the fourth year the Super XL Series has run at 888poker and it looks set to be the best one yet. There are three different buy-in levels to suit players of all skills and bankroll levels, with one of the highlights being the $1,500 High Roller on Tuesday, Jan. 26, which has a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool and is one of the highest buy-in events to ever run at 888poker.

All of 888poker's ambassadors are set to hit the virtual felt, so look out for the likes of Dominik Nitsche, Sofia Lovgren, Akira Ohyama, Bruno Politano, Jackie Glazier, Nico Villa-Lobos, and Bruno Kawauti at the tables during the Super XL Series.

Nitsche, a three-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner, is particularly excited about the upcoming series.

"I'm very excited about this year's Super XL Series, which in all likelihood will set records on 888poker," he said. "Very few online events are a 'can't-miss,' but the Super XL Series is definitely one of them. I'll most likely be playing in all the big events, and I'm expecting big things in the Main Event, which is going to be one of the best tourneys ever."

One of the reasons the Super XL Series Main Event is going to be one of the best tournaments ever is the fact it should be crammed with recreational players for whom a $1,050 buy-in is completely alien. 888poker has already, and continues to, run satellite tournaments from as little as $0.01 that feed into the $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event, making it ridiculous value with there being such an unusually large number of inexperienced players in the field.

Last year was the first time the Super XL Series Main Event featured a seven-figure prize pool and its guarantee was blown out of the water. 888poker are confident that this influx of amateur players into the Main Event will help create one of the largest prize pools ever in this history of the site.
