There may be one of the year's biggest tournament series running — the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure — but poker fans will soon have to divide their attention since it's time for the 2016 Aussie Millions.

The annual tournament series Down Under, part of the Asia-Pacific Poker Tour again this year, is set to kick off at 6:10 p.m. local time on Wednesday, Jan. 13, in beautiful Melbourne, Australia, with the first event of 24, an AU$1,150 no-limit hold'em tournament with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool and four starting flights.

That tournament, along with each of the other 23, will be covered live by PokerNews.

As usual at Aussie Millions, four events will draw most of the headlines. First, there's the $25,000 Challenge that starts on Jan. 22. Then, there's the Main Event, which features three starting flights. Concurrent with the first of those on Jan. 24 is the $100,000 Challenge. Finally, on Jan. 31 is the LK Boutique $250,000 Challenge, also known as Phil Ivey's personal bankroll booster as he has won it three times, including each of the past two years.

Additionally, the 2016 Aussie Millions will see popular streamer and Team PokerStars Pro Jason Somerville ship down to Crown Melbourne to broadcast commentary on site.
