Partypoker Increases Power Series Guarantees; Adds New Multi-Table Tournaments
Partypoker revamped its tournament schedule in November when it launched the Power Series in conjunction with unveiling four-time world champion boxer Carl Froch as its new ambassador.
Following feedback from the players and analysis of the various Power Series tournaments, partypoker management has tinkered with the schedule and now guarantees more than $1.6 million every month thanks to some newly-created events.
At least 17 new tournaments are now part of the schedule, and they buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $109 and feature guaranteed prize pools from $500 to $10,000.

These latest changes mean there is now a Featherweight and Middleweight tournament running every two hours, giving players the chance to play for big money with a relatively small initial investment.
Players also have the chance to play in the $50,000 guaranteed Uppercut and $150,000 guaranteed Main Event for as little as $5.50 instead of the $109 buy-in, thanks to the number of Ticket Brawls increasing. Previously, 230 tickets were available during the week, but this figure has increased to 530 with immediate effect.
Massive Value Added During December
In addition to the Gladiator and Winter Winners (a daily free prize until December 25) promotions running, partypoker players can also grab some exceptional value in two of its popular tournaments thanks to their prize pools swelling.
The Jab, a daily tournament that runs at 7 p.m. GMT, costs $5.50 to enter and usually features a $5,000 guarantee. However, every day during December the prize pool is doubled to $10,000. The only days this isn’t the case are Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve when traffic across all online poker sites is at its lowest for obvious reasons.
High-stakes players are also looked after in December with the $530 High Roller having $50,000 added to its $100,000 guarantee.
These changes represent great value for partypoker’s tournament players and follow the doubling of the weekly Sunday $109 Weigh-In guarantee from $25,000 to $50,000 and the $109 Uppercut, which runs Monday through Saturday, having its guarantee set at $50,000 each night it runs.
