The ninth edition of the PokerNews Cup is just around the corner, with the second Main Event in 2015 set to begin on November 19 at the biggest poker room in Europe, the King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.

Bringing back the same combination of a low buy-in, a premium guarantee, and a professional organization, the next Main Event will come with a guaranteed prize pool of €200,000 and an entry fee of just €250.

"After the success of the past edition, we are ready to continue to support our players by giving them the opportunity to get into some great poker action and enjoy a premium live event for the same low buy-in as always," the CEO at iBus Media and PokerNews Jon Squires said.

"The fact that many players do not want to spend thousands of Euros to play at live events does not mean that they are ready to sit at any low buy-in tournament," Squires continued. "People want competition, professionalism, and value — and this is what everyone who works at the PokerNews Cup is committed to."

The €200,000 Main Event will feature four different starting flights and will keep everyone busy until November 23. This, however, is not the only tournament on the schedule, as the second PokerNews Cup in 2015 features other interesting side events like the €120 PokerNews Cup Opening Event (November 18) featuring a €20,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the €100 PokerNews Pot Limit Omaha 1x Rebuy event featuring a €10,000 guarantee.

"This Is Not Your Regular Poker Tournament"

Once again, the PokerNews Cup will be a good chance for many PokerNews players to touch base with the community and meet each other for five-days of live poker.

"I can't wait for the event to begin and for everyone to get back to the King's Casino for the second time this year," PokerNews European Senior Editor Giovanni Angioni explained.

"The PokerNews Cup is not your regular poker tournament - it's a great chance to catch up with friends and have a great time together. I love the atmosphere and it's great to see how people love to be part of it. I can promise that the next event in Rozvadov is going to be even more exciting than the last one: back in February, we had 1,550 entrants in the Main Event - this time, I am sure we can do even better than that."

Angioni's enthusiasm about the event is also shared by the owner of King's Casino and winner of the Industry Person of the Year prize at the 2014 European Poker Awards, Leon Tsoukernik.

"I am extremely happy to continue working with PokerNews and it's an honor for the King's to host the PokerNews Cup for the second time in 2015," Tsoukernik said. "King's and PokerNews are an ideal match because we both strive to make the poker industry grow through excellence. We have proven this in the past, and we have the knowledge and the experience to do even better in the future."

Last Chances to Qualify Online

Although the event is set to begin in less than a month, partypoker and Redbet Poker are still giving everyone the chance to skip the €250 buy-in and play in the €200,000 GTD. Main Event for free.

Players who reside in a country where partypoker legally operate can qualify by playing in a special freeroll scheduled for October 28, where the winner is guaranteed to walk away with a package that includes:

  • €250 buy-in to the PokerNews Cup Main Event
  • €400 for traveling and other personal expenses
  • 3-night accommodation at the King's hotel

Alternatively, the players who reside in a country where Redbet Poker legally operate can win their seat in the Main Event by joining two special satellite events running on October 25 and November 01.
