New Jersey's "GaiusMarius" was this week's biggest winner in the Garden State, outlasting a field of 235 players in the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com $50,000 Guarantee to bank an even $10,000. The runner-up in that tournament was "FlopMonster", who cashed for $6,800.
Other notable players to appear on the final table in this tournament included Brian "pure_reason" Wood finishing in sixth place for $3,050, Ted "roystalin" Ely finishing in eighth place for $2,050, and Daniel "dgordon" Gordon finishing in ninth place for $1,550.
As is usually the case, the second biggest winner in New Jersey over the weekend came in the WSOP.com/888poker NJ Sunday $30,000 Guarantee when "FilthyDiaper" navigated through a field of 150 players to take first place for $8,391. The second-place finisher, ".beast.", not only won $4,895 in this tournament, but final tabled the two other tournaments with at least a $10,000 prize pool on this network over the weekend. He first took ninth place in Saturday's $10,000 GTD Nightly [R&A] for $190 before taking ninth again in the same tournament on Sunday for $221.
Anthony "Adversity45" Pagan is the only player on the final table in the $30,000 Guarantee whose identity we are aware of, finishing in fourth place for $2,175.
