Two Original Shows Under Production for Upcoming Poker Central Network

Poker Central is picking up steam. Over the summer, they hosted and filmed the Super High Roller Series, and Vanessa Selbst's victory in the Celebrity Shootout has already aired on NBC Sports, with the $500,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl set to premiere on August 28th.

Now, Poker Central, which previously partnered with Antonio Esfandiari and Daniel Negreanu, is set to launch their own around-the-clock poker channel on October 1, and according to a new press release, poker fans can look forward to two original shows are currently under production — Pokerography and Inside Poker, both of which will have world television premieres on Poker Central in early 2016.

"These two new series are perfect examples of Poker Central’s commitment to providing unprecedented coverage of the poker world and insider access to the incredibly talented professionals who make the game so compelling for viewers around the world," said Dan Russell, senior vice president of Programming & Production at Poker Central.

Inside Poker

Inside Poker began production on August 16 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida during the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. The show will be hosted by noted tournament director Matt Savage, who'll have in-depth, insightful and unfiltered conversations with industry icons on hot topics within the poker world. He'll also seek out poker tips from the pros, and offer "inside-the-ropes" stories from the top events and card rooms around the U.S. 

Among the properties already on the docket are Seminole Hard Rock, Bicycle Club, Commerce Casino, Foxwoods Casino, and various properties in Las Vegas.

Savage boasts an impressive résumé that includes serving as tournament director at the world’s largest poker room, Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, and at Bay 101 in San Jose; is a founder of the Tournament Directors Association (TDA); and acts as Executive Tour Director of the World Poker Tour (WPT).

Action Television of Denver, Colorado, will produce the show with Mike Billingsley serving as Executive Producer.

Pokerography

If you're looking for an in-depth look into the lives of poker professionals such as Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Laak, Michael Mizrachi, Chris Moneymaker, Erik Seidel, Vanessa Selbst, Jennifer Harman, Mike Sexton and Jason Somerville – all of who are slated to be on the show – then Pokerography is for you.

According to the press release, "each episode will explore the individual behind the legend - and, in their own words. Detailed interviews from poker's greatest champions reveal their fascinating backstories. Interviews with family, friends, professional rivals, and expert poker-analysts dig deeper into their legacies."

The show actually began production back in April, and won't wrap until February of next year. Pokerography, which is being produced by Ampersand Media, Inc. and MTO Productions, Inc. with Executive Producers David Doyle and Bryan Curb and Supervising Producer Aaron E. Bauer, will premiere in early 2016.
