France's Laurent Polito made history this weekend, as he won his fourth World Poker Tour National (WPTN) Main Event in two years.

Polito's latest success took place at the Grand Casino Brussels - Viage, Belgium, where on Sunday, July 19, he managed to take down the €700 buy-in WPTN Main Event for €56,500. Thanks to his latest cash, Polito climbed two spots on France's all-time money list, where he currently sits 29th thanks to $1,291,446 in tournament winnings according to the HendonMob.

To take down his fourth WPTN Main Event, Polito survived a field of 438 participants, which included known players such as 2015 Winamax Poker Tour finalist El Mostafa Ederoua, as well as former WPTN Brussels champion Heinrich Pauker, and 2015 Sismix champ Jérôme Sgorrano.

Polito now sits on the twenty-ninth position of France's all-time money list thanks to $1,291,446 in tournament winnings.

Polito's amazing run in the WPTN began back in 2013 when he shipped the €1,500 Main Event held at the Aviation Club de France in Paris, outlasting a field of 229 players in the process to capture the €74,500 top prize.

One year later, in May 2014, the French player managed to finish as the last man standing when he took down the WPTN at Le Croisette Casino Barriere in Cannes, France. That tournament attracted 391 entrants and awarded Polito a €86,000 first-place prize.

Seven months later, Polito surprised everyone when he emerged victorious from yet another WPTN Main Event in Paris. That time, Polito took home the premium €140,000 top prize on tap at the WPTN Paris Main Event, which came after a thrilling heads-up match against Carlo Savinelli, one of Italy's rising stars.

Besides his great runs in WPTN events, Polito is well known for putting together remarkable results in top international events like a third-place finish in the €10,300 buy-in 2012 EPT Barcelona High Roller Event and a ninth-place finish in the 2012 EPT Deauville Main Event.

The WPT National Series is currently at Aspers Casino in Westfield Stratford City for the £200 buy-in partypoker WPT National London.
