Canada’s "Nolet20" Wins PokerStars Micromillions 11 Main Event for $89,854
The 11th edition of PokerStars' Micromillions came to an end on Sunday, July 26, after Canada's "Nolet20" took down Main Event for $89,854.
The $22 buy-in tournament attracted grinders from all over the world and generated 55,524 entries. The impressive turnout surpassed the already massive $1 million guarantee and brought the total prize pool up to $1,110,480.
Despite the $111,111 guaranteed to go the Main Event's winner, a five-handed deal was reached in which the winner, "Nolet20," took home $89,854.68, which was actually less than the $110,743 cash that Canada's "BgsaPnaples" took home when he won the Micromillions 10 Main Event back on March 29.

However, thanks to his big score, "Nolet20" finished as the festival's biggest winner ahead of Australia's Paul "djwilo" Wilcock, who put together a third-place finish in the Main Event and also cashed in Event 002 for a total of $66,222 in combined winnings. Meanwhile, the Main Event's runner-up, Greece's "SukaPu, took home $65,720.37 and finished as the series' third-biggest winner.
Although the Main Event saw two players from Canada finish in the top five spots — "BOWERS25" finished in fourth position for $49,875.13 — the country, which accounted for $512,977.12 in winnings, was only the second-biggest winner from the Micromillions 11. That's because players from Russia put up some big results.
Over the course of the 100 events included in the schedule, 161,939 Russian players joined the action, putting together 23,843 cashes for a total of $777,209.32. Germany had the second-biggest delegation, with a total of 96,763 entrants, 13,968 cashes, and only $483,864.83 in winnings.
Besides being first for number of players and winnings, Russia was also the best country in terms of final tables played (138) and events won, with 15 Micromillions bracelets going to the country's players.
Brazil was also well represented in the Micromillions 11 festival as the 81,495 players participated, making it the third-biggest country in the competition and the second-biggest winner in terms of events won with Brazilian players taking down thirteen events for a total of $423,492.94.
