Paul Volpe and Keith Lehr Set to Battle for WSOP Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship 0001

After seven rounds (the first being a play-in round) and 141 heads-up matches, only two players remain from 143 entrants in Event #10: Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship at the 2015 World Series of Poker.

Both Paul Volpe and Keith Lehr have gone 6-0 to reach the championship match, which will take place at Thursday at 1 p.m PT. Between the two of them, Volpe and Lehr have more than $5.2 million in total live tournament earnings according to the Hendon Mob. Both play high-stakes cash games and each is looking to capture their second WSOP gold bracelet. Lehr won his in 2003 in Pot-Limit Hold'em, while Volpe won his last year in the No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw Championship.

Here are both players' respective paths to the championship:

Who had the more difficult path to the championship?

If going by total live earnings on the Hendon Mob, Lehr's opponents have won slightly more than Volpe's. The combined live earnings for their opponents are more than $12,000,000, however the difference between the two sides was less than $500,000. Both beat their share of notables and lesser-known pros to reach this point, but only one will go a perfect 7-0 and walk away with the bracelet.
