Can you believe that another seven days have come and gone? It’s going to be Christmas soon at this rate! Before Santa drops down your chimney, we have another UK & Ireland PokerNews Round-Up for you to enjoy.

The week got off to a solid start with a number of Englishmen and Irishmen walking away with decent scores from the online poker world. Ireland’s Cathal Shine was one such players, taking down the partypoker $150,000 High Roller event for more than $32,000, while his fellow countryman, Andrew "UlDuffer" Sweeney, also enjoyed some success at the virtual felt, scooping $20,851.97 by finishing third in the Full Tilt Sunday Major.

Winning his second live tournament of 2015 was Scotland’s Ludovic Geilich who emerged victorious in the 2015 Genting Poker Series Newcastle Main Event, a result that netted him £27,500. Geilich then headed to Nottingham for the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) festival taking place at Dusk Till Dawn and stone-bubbled the £3,200 High Roller. You can't win them all!

Keeping with live poker, the 2015 UK Student Poker Championship Main Event broke its attendance record yet again thanks to 801 entries being processed. Outlasting them all was Cillian Berragan, who collected the £5,470 first-place prize.

As mentioned, the UKIPT is in Nottingham for the latest leg and so far the £1 million guaranteed Main Event has completed three of its four starting flights. You can read more about each of the starting flights here, here, and here.

Rounding up this week is the news of PKR Poker revealing the newest member of its team, Daniel O’Callaghan, Patrick Leonard returning to the top of the UK online poker rankings, Stephen Chidwick being tipped to be the Global Poker Index’s worldwide number one, and the UK Gambling Commission and 666Bet entering into a disagreement.
