Five Things You Need to Know About partypoker's Pokerfest
The Pokerfest is back at partypoker once again from March 29 to April 12, providing both low- and high-limit players a chance to compete for huge prizes with a guaranteed $2.4 million in prize money to be awarded throughout the series.
The 15-day series features 77 events with buy-ins starting from as little as $5. High rollers will be able to compete for bigger guaranteed tournaments with the schedule containing a few $500 and $1,000 buy-in events.
The Pokerfest Main Event, taking place on April 12 at 14:00 ET, is what many poker players already have their eyes on. This $200 buy-in event not only features a healthy $300,000 guaranteed prize pool, but also plenty of play with 20-minute blind levels.
Five Things You Need to Know About Pokerfest
1. Mega Satellites — Partypoker wants as many of its players to play in Pokerfest as possible. This is why in addition to the many satellites and $1 buy-in sub-satellites, they also have eight mega satellites which take place the day of a big tournament. Through these, a minimum of 220 guaranteed seats will be awarded in all. This provides a great way for any player to play in a bigger event at a fraction of the cost.
2. Variety of Games — The Pokerfest schedule features many different types of games, including the most popular no-limit variant. Additionally, there are plenty of pot-limit Omaha, pot-limit Omaha hi-lo, and seven-card stud tournaments for those interested in playing other types of poker tournaments.
3. Variety of Formats — In addition to the wide selection of games, there is also a wide selection of formats on tap including freezeouts, turbo rebuy, hyper rebuy, ante-up, super bounty, and triple-chance tournaments.
4. Viva Las Vegas! — On the last day of the schedule, April 12, players will have a chance to win one of five guaranteed Las Vegas packages to play in the WPT500 Las Vegas. These packages are valued at $1,900, giving poker players a chance to win big in Sin City for just $20.
Last year's WPT500 Las Vegas saw the $1 million guaranteed prize pool smashed with 3,599 entries generating $1.561 million in prize money. Sean Yu won the event for a hefty $260,000.
5. Play on the Go — Players can enjoy playing Pokerfest no matter where they are since all the tournaments are available in the parytpoker mobile app.
