2015 RunGood Poker Series Hard Rock Tulsa Main Event Day 1a: McVicker Leads

Day 1a saw 136 players pony up $675 and push the 2015 RunGood Poker Series Hard Rock Tulsa Main Event prize pool to over 80 percent of the $100,000 guarantee, with two starting flights still to play.

After 12 levels of play at 30 minutes per, it was Jesse McVicker with a substantial chip lead, as he bagged a healthy 254,000. Other notables to advance to Sunday's Day 2 are Tony Lay (140,000), Dan Lowery (119,000), Ross Bybee (106,000), and Ryan Tepen (35,000).

Many notables tried and failed to get through Day 1 on their first attempt, including Dan "Wretchy" Martin, Lauren Kling, Bryan Campanello, and Jonathan Gaviao. Nevertheless, they'll all have chances to fire again on subsequent starting days.
