$600,000 in Guarantees at the Playground Winter Festival
There's a new festival on the agenda at Playground Poker Club designed to liven up the winter with some hot poker action. The Playground Winter Festival gets underway on February 27 and will run until March 10 with a total of 15 events including the $1,100 Main Event with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The Winter Festival kicks off with The Wild $150, a reentry event with four starting flights and a $100,000 guarantee. This is a format that has attracted an average of 1,459 runners per event in the past two years, making it one of the best values in poker.
The Winter Festival will feature 14 other events designed to appeal to players of all experience levels, from beginners all the way up to seasoned professionals. Buy-ins for side events in the Winter Festival start at just $60 and go all the way up to $330 — there's truly something for everyone.
The centerpiece of the Playground Winter Festival is the $1,100 Main Event, which starts on Friday, March 6 and features two Day 1s (next-day reentry) and will play out through Day 4 on Tuesday, March 10 when a winner will be crowned.
During the festival there will be six Main Event satellites, including three on Thursday, March 5 alone, the day before the Main Event gets underway. The 8 p.m. local time satellite is particularly attractive, as there are an incredible 20 seats guaranteed.
