Terrence Chan Gives Candid, Behind-the-Scenes Insight to Ultimate Gaming's Closure

1 min read

On Friday of last week, Ultimate Gaming announced that it was ceasing operations in Nevada immediately. The news came less than two months after the company announced their exit from the online poker market in New Jersey.

In the days following, there has been much opinion offered as to the cause of the company's closure, but one person's insight holds a bit more weight than others by giving us a candid look behind the scenes from a former employee at Ultimate Gaming.

Terrence Chan served as Director of Player Operations for Ultimate Poker and Ultimate Casino from March 2013 to July 2014 — a 16-month stint. Following the news of Ultimate's closure in Nevada, Chan recorded a lengthy video blog in which he pulls back the curtain about the issues he believes led to the company's demise.

The entire video is just under 37 minutes long, but we recommend watching all of it for those interested, as Chan offers an intricate point of view from someone who worked with the company and saw operations unfold first hand.
