PPC Poker Tour Holding Last Chance Satellites for Upcoming Aruba World Championship

From October 15-21, 2014, the PPC Poker Tour will host its season-ending PPC Aruba Championship at the Radisson Aruba Resort. A poker festival that includes a $2,200 buy-in, $200,000 guarantee Main Event that the PokerNews Live Reporting team will be live reporting.

This Sunday at 12:00 p.m., the PPC will be hosting a $550 last-chance satellite to the PPC Aruba World Championship at Running Aces Harness Park in Columbus, Minnesota. The event, which has award 10% of field win $5,000 PPC Aruba World Championship packages, is being hosted by PPC Pro Mark “P0ker H0” Kroon and will be live blogged by special guest Sandy Swartzbaugh, the Commissioner of the PPC Poker Tour.

Those packages include a $2,200 buy-in to the Main Event, entry into the $200 buy-in $15,000 guaranteed event, seven nights at either the Radisson Aruba Resort or Rui Palace Aruba Resort, $500 flight credit, and two VIP passes for the "Welcome Party," which will be hosted by World Poker Tour Player of the Year and 2012 PPC Aruba Champ Joe Serock on Oct. 15.

Over 100 players have won packages thus far, with over 50 of them coming from Florida, and over 30 coming from Silks Poker Room at Tampa Downs alone including John Ott, who topped a field of 585 players to win the PPC Tampa Downs Fall Classic Main Event for over $85,000 and to become the PPC’s second two-time champ alongside Pam Buzzetto. The PPC Aruba Championship will also make the end to the Season 2 PPC Player of the Year race, which is currently being led by Parry Shaw of Tampa, Florida, though he is just 200 points ahead of the aforementioned Ott.

Others who will be in attendance at the PPC Aruba Championship include PPC pros Joe Ebanks, Mark "P0ker H0" Kroon, and Ronnie Bardah.

Finally, the PPC has announced three more events to be held at the PPC Aruba:

  • $120 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.
  • $120 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout on Monday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m.
  • $120 Pot-Limit Omaha Freezeout on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 12 p.m.

After the PPC Championship concludes, the tour will turn its attention to Season 3, which will kick off with the first of five events at the Silks Poker Room at Tampa Bay Downs from Oct. 22-26, 2014 featuring a $225 buy-in, $50,000 guarantee Main Event. Season 3, will host over 30 Main Events, will also introduce new stops in Nevada and Wisconsin.
