The €200,000 GTD PokerStars King's Cup Kicks Off Nov. 6
As the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas prepares for the final table of the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event, the King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic will celebrate the PokerStars King's Cup, a new live poker event that will run from Nov. 6 to Nov. 9.
Built around an attractive €550 buy-in Main Event that features a €200,000 guarantee, the PokerStars King's Cup promises to keep all its participants busy with an intriguing schedule that includes a €550 buy-in pot-limit Eureka Omaha Championship event and a €110 buy-in satellite to the Eureka Poker Tour event that will start in Prague on Dec. 7.
During the King's Cup, PokerStars will also introduce the first turbo starting day in its live tournaments' history.
According to the new structure, all the players that will join the event from the Day 1c, which is scheduled for Nov. 7 at 00:00, will begin with the same starting stack as the players on Days 1a and 1b, but will have to face a dramatically different structure – as they will play in levels that will be only 15-minute long.
All surviving players from the Turbo Day 1c will then restart the play together with the 1a and 1b survivors on Day 2, when the game will resume with the regular 40-minute long levels.
Night owls will also get the chance to enjoy the action as, besides the usual cash games that will run parallel to the tournaments, the festival’s schedule features two freezeout events set to start right at midnight on Nov. 6 and 8.
