Are You Ready for the PokerNews Cup? 0001

The sixth-edition of the PokerNews Cup is less than a week away taking place from Oct. 9 to Oct. 12 in one of the most majestic capitals of the world, Vienna, Austria.

This exclusive series features a great €75,000 GTD €250 buy-in two-day main event, and a superb €8,000 €75 buy-in second chance tournament. There will also be cash games running, giving you the ability for non-stop poker action.

Most of the action will be taking place at the Montesino Casino, however Day 1b of the main event will be taking place at both Montesino Casino and at the Concord Card Casino Simmering.

When not on the felts, you can check out all the delights Vienna has to offer, including a view of the city from the sky in the 19th-century Riesenrad, visiting the world's oldest zoo, or even dropping by to visit Mozart's only remaining Viennese residence.

We will also have some events on tap ourselves including a thrilling karting experience that will guarantee all the participants with a good dose of fun and adrenaline.

Win a Main Event Seat in Our Live Satellites

A large number of our readers will be heading to Vienna to play in the 2014 PokerNews Cup thanks to many online satellites and promotions. Unfortunately there is no longer any time left to win a free package online.

However, if you are planning to head to Vienna to play in the PokerNews Cup anyway or you live in or near Austria's charming capital city, we have a way for you to get into the main event for a fraction of the cost in two live satellite tournaments held right at the Montesino Casino.

The first satellite takes place on Oct. 9 at 19:00 CET featuring a very low €30 buy-in. This will be followed by a turbo satellite on Oct. 10 at 15:00 CET with the same low €30 buy-in.
