The World Poker Tour is expanding its WPT National circuit in Europe with its first ever stop to Holland scheduled for October 1-5, 2014.

The five-day poker festival, which will be held at the Holland Casino in Valkenburg, will feature a rich calendar of events featuring a €500 + €50 four-day Main Event, a €1,350 + 150 two-day High Roller and a €225+€25 one-day big stack event.

Commenting on the WPT's choice to add a stop in the country, Holland Casino's Director Noël Leise said that he was "thrilled to announce this venture with the World Poker Tour, which is set to offer our players something they haven’t experienced before in Holland."

According to Leise, "The location of the casino in Valkenburg offers opportunities for players to travel from a number of countries including Belgium, Germany, France and of course Holland itself."

Located at the top of the Cauberg Mountain in the Southern part of Holland, Valkenburg is said to be one of the most fascinating locations in the country with breathtaking views over the South Limburg region.

"We are delighted to be expanding the World Poker Tour global footprint by travelling to Holland for our first WPT in the country", said Adam Pliska, president of the World Poker Tour. "This is a very exciting partnership for us of which we hope will include many events in the future.”

Holland's first-ever WPT National event will start on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 with a €50+10 turbo satellite to the Main Event and will keep players busy with tournaments and cash games until the closure of the festival on Sunday, Oct. 5.
