MPN Poker Tour

Don't make any plans for the dates May 29 through June 1 unless they involve being part of the debut event of the brand-new MPN Poker Tour (MPNPT).

The MPN, formerly called the Microgaming Poker Network, has created the MPNPT, which is set to make its debut in London on May 29. Aspers Casino in Stratford is the venue for the inaugural event, which sees seven action-packed events being played over the course of four days, each offering great blind structures and potentially huge prize pools.

Kicking off the MPNPT London festival on May 29 is a £35 buy-in rebuy satellite tournament that feeds into the €550 buy-in Main Event. This particular satellite allows you to purchase rebuys at the discounted price of only £20, meaning you could be playing in the MPNPT London main event for a fraction of its actual buy-in cost — and that is never a bad thing.

The €550 MPNPT London Main Event explodes into life at 12 p.m. on May 30 and everything points to it being a roaring success. The Aspers Casino in Stratford has a fantastic atmosphere even without a poker festival being on its premises, so should be quite magical when the MPNPT drops anchor there and brings with it scores of online qualifiers in addition to plenty of glitz and glam.

As you would expect from such a prestigious poker tour, there are a number of side events for you to get your teeth into over the course of the four days. Should you bust out of the Main Event earlier than planned, you can also jump into the £165 buy-in Big Night Out NL Hold’em freezeout on May 30, or why not try your luck in the £55 Open-Face Chinese Poker event on the afternoon of May 31?

Other highlights of MPNPT London include a £110 bounty tournament that sees you win £25 for each person you eliminate, an eagerly anticipated £165 Pot-Limit Omaha event and a £35 NL Hold’em rebuy event that brings the festival to a close.

The online satellite, which kicks off at 7 p.m. British Summer Time, costs €215 to enter, but has plenty of feeder tournaments feeding into it with buy-ins starting as low as €0.50 and increasing to a still affordable €11.

Each €1,500 MPNPT London package awards its lucky winner:

  • The €500+€50 Main Event buy-in at Apsers Casino, Stratford London
  • 4 nights’ accommodation at the Holiday Inn, Stratford, London from May 29 to June 2
  • Breakfast and internet at the hotel
  • €275 spending money
  • Entry to the players’ party at Aspers Casino, Stratford, London

As we said, the final MPNPT London satellite runs on May 11 so don’t miss out on the chance to get your hands on a special €1,500 package. One MPN skin that is running satellites is Poker Heaven, where if you sign up for your account via PokerNews you can claim a 200% up to €1,000 first deposit bonus!
