Seminole Hard Rock Posts Dates for $10 Million Guarantee and $100,000 Super High Roller
In 2013, the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida rocked the poker world with a $10 million guarantee tournament. The $5,300 buy-in event smashed the guarantee by nearly $2 million, and the eventual winner was Blair Hinkle, who earned nearly $1.75 million for his efforts.
On Tuesday, the Seminole Hard Rock posted the entire schedule for the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, and there will be another $10 million guarantee on Aug. 28, along with a $100,000 super high roller on Sept. 1. Both tournaments allow reentries.
The 23-event festival begins on Aug. 14, and also features a $2,200 eight-game mix, a $2,200 six-max, and a $1,650 bounty tournament.
The Seminole Hard Rock had previously published tentative dates, but eventually pushed the series closer to September. The initial dates for the $10 million guarantee may have conflicted with European Poker Tour Barcelona — the 100th EPT ever held — but now there is no overlap as the first festival of Season 11 of the EPT wraps up two days before the Seminole Hard Rock's flagship event.
