The Sunday Briefing: PokerStars Celebrates 900 Millionth Tournament With $1M Guarantee

More than 18,700 players competed in the historic 900 millionth tournament, and after 14 hours a deal was reached between three players who each locked up a minimum of $152,000. The UK's Dan "judgedredd13" Charlton was among the final three, but in the end it was Canada's "earlgrey23" who claimed the title.
According to our friends over at UK PokerNews , Charlton’s $153,681 score was the biggest of his online poker career and helped him eclipse the $1.5 million mark in career cashes. Charlton’s previous best score came in 2009 when he won the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $71,750.
Other notables scooping big paydays on Sunday were Louis "lhennessey" Hennessey , Simon "ministerborg" Ravnsbaek Andreas "daskalos20" Christoforou , Balazs "birs320" Botond Michael "StrungOut1" Wasserman , and Martin "filfedra" Staszko PokerStars Sunday Supersonic for $56,399.
