PPC Poker Tour Adds First Stop in Mississippi; Visits Horseshoe Tunica August 20-24 0001

From August 20-24, 2014, the PPC Poker Tour (PPC) will visit the Horseshoe Tunica for it’s first-ever stop in Mississippi. The six-event series will feature a $350 buy-in, $50,000 guarantee Main Event that will run from Fri., August 22 through Sun. August 24. In addition, there will be a $120 buy-in Senior Poker Tour event.

"Bringing the tour to Tunica shows how serious we are about expanding nationwide,” said Sandy Swartzbaugh, Commissioner for the PPC. “Combining our tour with the allure of Aruba, should create big excitement for Mississippi and surrounding area players. Win at Tunica, then off to Aruba for the ultimate “Poker-Cation.”

To add more excitement, the Player of the Series will win a $5,000 PPC World Championship package which includes one (1) $2,200 buy-in, $200,000 guarantee Main Event entry; one (1) $200 buy-in, $15,000 guarantee entry; one (1) $100 buy-in, $5,000 guarantee 1st place entry, a seven-night stay at the Radisson Aruba Resort, plus $400 in travel expenses.

“We are excited to partner up with the popular PPC Poker Tour. Their vision to send players from all stops to Aruba is very appealing to players,” said Lisa Crompton, Poker Room Manager- Horseshoe Tunica. “They also have aligned themselves with the Senior Poker Tour and LIPS which creates events for every poker player. This will be a great series for players all around the region.”

The PPC, which hosted eight events in Season 1 and saw [Removed:65] defeat Joe Ebanks to win the 2013 PPC Aruba World Championship $2,500 Main Event, has more than 25 events on the schedule in 2014.
