Mid-States Poker Tour Announces Partnership with Delta Air Lines 0001

The Mid-States Poker Tour announced a groundbreaking new partnership on Friday. The popular U.S.-based tour has teamed up with Delta Air Lines to provide poker players with discounted airfair to and from MSPT tournaments, which are now expanding as far west as Las Vegas.

"As the tour is growing — both in the number of venues and the number of players at each stop — we wanted to be able to offer the players the option of discounted airfare," said Judd Greenagel, director of operations at the MSPT. "For the venues it shows that we are doing everything we can to get players to travel to their casino. Delta is a great fit as they can get you anywhere you need to be and at a very fair rate, and their SkyMiles Program is second to none."

The Delta discount ranges from 2% to 10% based on the Delta Booking Class purchased. More information on the discounted airfaire can be found at MSPT.com.

The MSPT recently announced that it will be making its first-ever stop in Las Vegas this summer at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino during the very popular Deep Stack Extravaganza (DSE) series. The $1,100 buy-in Mid-Season Championship will take place June 2-4 and boast a $300,000 guarantee.

The tour also announced a new stop in Milwaukee this month, and Greenagel says he expects a huge numbers of players to take advantage of the Delta partnership and travel to the new events.

"We really just want to do everything we can to make it easy and affordable for players to get to our events and to make sure they get a fair deal on travel," he added.

The MSPT has been setting records across several states thus far in 2014 and looks to be the catalyst behind a huge, record field this June in Las Vegas. The 2014 event schedule features 20 events in nine states with more potential events to be announced.
