partypoker Set to Run the Biggest Tournament on New Jersey's First Sunday
The first weekend of online poker is set to begin in New Jersey and partypoker has made it clear that they want to make a big splash.
Keeping with the tradition of the "Sunday Majors," partypoker has lined up the biggest tournament thus far on their newly-licensed New Jersey site. The tournament will feature a buy-in of $200 and has a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000.
Partypoker spokesperson and Poker Hall of Fame member Mike Sexton commented: "partypoker is posting the $50K guaranteed this weekend and we are sure you will not find better value anywhere else. It is hard to forecast how many players will take part, and if it isn't very many the chances to win are going to be even better. We are boldly sticking our necks out, and saying to our players: Happy Thanksgiving!"
Expected to be in action for the event are Team partypoker's Jamie Kerstetter, Bobby Oboodi, and Scott Baumstein.
"After moving back from Mexico, this will be my very first Sunday online session back home in New Jersey," explained Kerstetter in the press release. "The $50K is likely to provide great value, and I am going to do my best to win!"
The partypoker $50,000 guaranteed tournament will begin Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET, so be sure to mark your calendars.
