Albania To Ban Offshore Online Gambling
The Republic of Albania, a country located in Southeastern Europe to the north of Greece, will stop access to all online gambling websites abroad. According to a report from the Associated Press, the ban is said to stop the outflow of money from one of the poorest countries in Europe.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that the government will prepare legislation that will block online gambling websites based offshore. It is estimated that Albanians spent €500-700 million yearly in offshore online gambling.
