The Sunday Briefing: David Bach Collects First WCOOP Bracelet; Tom Middleton Wins Again

It was another busy slate of tournaments on the virtual poker felt this weekend. The 2013 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) rounded out its first week of action at PokerStars, and the MiniFTOPS series continued going strong at Full Tilt Poker. Meanwhile, the new-look PartyPoker.com unveiled a new Sunday tournament schedule, headlined by a $215 buy-in tournament with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

David "Gunslinger3" Bach, a former winner of the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship at the World Series of Poker, added a WCOOP bracelet to his résumé on Sunday. Bach took down WCOOP Event #21, a $320 pot-limit Omaha hi/lo event, for $51,138.

Also finding success on Sunday was Tom "hitthehole" Middleton. Fresh off his victory in the European Poker Tour London Main Event this month, Middleton was victorious in the PokerStars Sunday 500 for more than $89,000.

Others scooping big scores were JC "PrtyPsux" Alvarado, Bryan "theczar19" Piccioli, Ondrej "Vinkyy" Vinklarek, and Jamie "TheCronic420" Rosen.
