On Wednesday, Sept. 18, PokerNews put the poker world on watch that Chris "Moorman1" Moorman moved to less than $100,000 in online tournament winnings away from an unprecedented $10 million.

As of Friday morning, Moorman has inched even closer to this amazing achievement, banking several more cashes. He now has $9.923 million in career online tournament earnings, putting him just $77,000 away from the milestone, and further distancing himself from anyone else in the record books. According to PocketFives.com, Moorman is currently over $3 million ahead of his closest online competitor Shyam "s_dot111" Srinivasan.

"Being the first person to hit $10 million in online tournament cashes is incredibly important to me," Moorman told PokerNews on Wednesday. "I started playing online tournaments way back in 2006, and to have continued success throughout the last seven years, especially with the ever-changing environment of the game, is more than I could have hoped for."

It also shouldn't go unnoticed that Moorman has reentered the top 10 of the PocketFives.com Rankings, "the premier online poker tournament rankings established in January 2005."

Be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews for continued updates on Moorman's record-setting quest.
