2013 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Prelim Results
On Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, the Seminole Hard Rock $10,000,000 guarantee Championship Event will kick off. With a buy-in of $5,300, the anticipation is high, both in regards to the size of the field and the handfuls of marquee names that will be in the mix in South Florida. While all the talk of this event focuses around the largest single-event guarantee in the history of poker, there are 32 other events on the schedule ranging in buy-ins from $125-$100,000.
Of those 32 events, 20 of them have taken place before the start of the $10,000,000 guarantee Championship Event. All of these events have been successful, once again proving that poker in the Sunshine State is thriving as one of the game's hotbeds on American soil.
Earlier this week, Rich Ryan recapped the massive $1,000,000 guarantee Event #7. With just a $560 entry, the event attracted 3,389 players and created a whopping prize pool of $1,694,500. Ray Piccin took home the title and nearly $300,000 in prize money, but let's also not forget about the other winners thus far in the series.
