Matchbook.com announced on Wednesday the release of a documentary focused on Sam Trickett’s involvement in the $1 million buy-in Big One for One Drop tournament from last year’s World Series of Poker.

The film will be released in four parts over the next week, to coincide with the 2013 One Drop High Roller event set to begin June 26 at this year's Series. The documentary will depict how Trickett became one of the most successful poker players in the industry. His skills in poker have led him to numerous first-place titles in addition to dozens of cashes to total nearly $20 million in career tournament earnings.

Judging from the near four-minute preview, the documentary will be a high-quality production depicting the life of the famed player with candid interviews with Trickett, fellow poker players, WSOP commentators, family and friends.

The $1 million tournament last year drew 48 players to create a prize pool of over $42 million. Antonio Esfandiari was the lucky player to collect the $18.3 million first-place prize, while Trickett finished in second for $10.1 million.

The WSOP will also feature “The Little One for One Drop,” which will be a $1,111 buy-in event scheduled for July 3.

To celebrate the release of the film, Matchbook will be offering a promotion on their betting market for the $100K tournament. Matchbook will offer a full refund up to £10,000/$15,000 on a player’s stake for any bets placed on the winner market of the event if your backed bet makes the final table of the tournament, but doesn’t go on to win the tournament.
