Daniel Negreanu's incredible run in 2013 continued Sunday morning when he took down his first major online tournament, winning the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Event #33. Negreanu, who has deep runs in WSOP-APAC, European Poker Tour and World Poker Tour Main Events already this year, added another $216,000 to his bankroll by winning the $5,200 Pot Limit Omaha event, claiming his first SCOOP watch in the process.
Several other well-known pros won tournaments on Sunday, including George Danzer, Ruben "rubentv" Visser, Sorel "zangbezan24" Mizzi, Ami "UhhhMee" Barer, Jude "j.thaddeus" Ainsworth, and Ben "Ben86" Tollerene, who won the $21,000 buy-in SCOOP Heads-Up event for $200,401.
The $10,300 SCOOP-High Main Event also got underway on Sunday. A field of 580 players generated a prize pool of $5.8 million, and more than $1 million will go to the winner on Monday. Viktor "Isildur1" Blom is second in chips heading into Day 2 with 73 remaining. We'll have a full recap of the SCOOP Main Event — all three buy-in levels — on Tuesday.
Here's a look at the results from Sunday's major tournaments at PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker:
