The Players Poker Championship has seen some recent changes take place in regards to its events being held in Aruba, and PokerNews is here to tell you all about those changes.

First, the PPC Aruba and the DeepStacks Poker Tour are no longer partnered for their October event. The event, which will still be taking place October 2 to 9, 2013, is now titled the PPC Aruba World Championship.

For that event, the defending champion of the Main Event, Joe Serock, has been announced as the feature pro. He'll once again be back in action in Aruba and hoping to defend his title, although this year might be a bit harder with a highly anticipated larger field size thanks to the hefty $200,000 guarantee.

The PPC has also partnered with the Ladies International Poker Tour (LIPS) for an added event to the schedule, a $220 buy-in event on Saturday, October 5.

In other PPC news, another series will be held in Aruba, the PPC Aruba Summer Slam. This event will take place August 9-17 at the Radisson Aruba and consist of nine events, including the $560 PPC Aruba Summer Slam Main Event.
