€1 Million Buy-In Cash Game Rumored for EPT Grand Final 0001

A couple of weeks ago Lee Jones, the Head of Poker Communications at PokerStars, discussed the expanded cash game selection at the upcoming PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final. Despite not mentioning it, a rumor has surfaced that a €1 million buy-in cash game may be on the slate.

According to the PokerStars Blog, a number of players have expressed interest in playing if the game were to in fact spread. Among them are Sam Trickett, Paul Newey, Philipp Gruissem, Niklas Heinecker and Isaac Haxton.

"It's not often you get an opportunity to play in a game this big, so obviously that's pretty exciting," Haxton told the PokerStars Blog.

The game, which again is only a rumor at this point, would likely be played eight-handed with €1,000/€2,000 blinds on Saturday, May 11 at 16:00 CET and play into the next day.

PokerNews will be in Monaco to live report the EPT Grand Final, and rest assured we’ll stay on top of this story as it develops.
