The $67,500 PokerStars PokerNews Freeroll Series is winding down as nine of the 12 $5,000 freerolls are already in the books. But don't worry, if you missed out on the action so far, there are still three tournaments you can compete in between now and May 8.

The popular promotion is open to new and existing PokerStars customers who have used PokerNews links and marketing codes when creating their PokerStars accounts. New customers who wish to participate in the next available $5,000 freeroll must make a real-money deposit during the qualification period to get a seat to the next $5,000 freeroll.

Unless you met the qualification criteria between April 8 and14, you will not be eligible to play in the April 17 freeroll.

When making your first deposit, don't forget to enter the marketing code "POKERNEWS.COM" and the bonus code "STARS600" to be eligible for a 100% match first-deposit bonus (up to $600). The huge sign-up bonus, coupled with this fantastic promotion, makes signing up to PokerStars a very lucrative proposition.

Existing customers who have already made a deposit at PokerStars need to earn 25 VPPs during the qualification period to be eligible to compete in the next available $5,000 freeroll. VPPs are awarded at different rates depending on game, stakes and currency played, but rest assured, earning 25 points should be easy even for players who frequent the micro-stakes.

If you're playing in the freeroll and looking to load up another table, the new five card Omaha game at PokerStars is a great way to get your fill of action. Five card Omaha cash games are growing in popularity by the day and are a lot of fun for both beginners and experts alike. The new variant plays the same as a regular Omaha game except each player receives five hole cards instead of four. Players then use exactly two cards from their five hole cards to make the best five-card hand.
